Friendship Baptist Church is located in Highland, Arkansas. We are an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church, striving together to be a living testimony of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in our community and surrounding area. The theme from our beginning has been Building Godly Generations taken from Psalm 145.
One generation shall praise Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts.”
Psalm 145:4
Friendship had its beginning in the summer of 1990 when a young preacher from Oklahoma had a burden for this area. Pastor Mike Stanley and his wife, Peggy, moved with their children to Cherokee Village that summer to lay the groundwork for the church plant. The first service was held on October 7, 1990 with the Stanleys and one other family in attendance.
From that beginning the church family has continued to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Building strong lives and strong families anchored in sound doctrine continues to be the heartbeat of Friendship in philosophy and practice.
